Current Status of Project:
This week was designated for group decisions and project selection. We have decided to work together as a team, and we interviewed on Thursday, August 28th with Dr. Engsberg regarding his project concept. This project comprises designing a cost-effective and portable method for hospitals to quantitatively measure spasticity in patients with cerebral palsy. We have accepted his offer to work on this project and will begin concept brainstorming this week.
Work Planned for Next Week:
We will be meeting with Dr. Engsberg once a week on Mondays at 2:45pm. For our first meeting, we will discuss all of the variables that we have to consider when designing this device, as well as what needs we have to meet. In addition, we will gain more backgroud information on muscle spasticity, some of the current solutions out there, and talk to Occupational Therapists to get a more expert opinion.
Anything needed from Client or TA before work can progress:
Nothing at the moment.
